Arrow keys to move.  Shift to run. Space bar to jump.1 2 and 3 keys to shift colours when they are unlocked.

Opticks is a video game prototype exploring a colour shifting mechanic invented and developed by our team. The name comes from Isaac Newton’s theory of colour. A paradigm shift in our understanding of light. 

As you progress through the game, you unlock the ability to phase through the 3 primary colours by toggling the active colour of light to overcome obstacles.

The Opticks prototype was created during the first Full Circle CS Game Jam on Feb 20, 2026.

Our team plans to develop these ideas further for the Level Up Showcase in Toronto on April 7, 2026.
